Do you genuinely think that homosexuality is a choice? May I ask you then, why would they "choose" to be discriminated against? Why would young people take their lives because they're so afraid of their sexuality and how people treat them? Why would your God (as perfect as he sounds) allow His people to treat each other that way? I'm sure you know how homosexuals are treated in our society and what they have to deal with on a daily basis.

Hi again.
Sorry for the late reply. You just had a lot of questions. And can I just say Iโ€™m not a scholar at all soโ€ฆyeah

If anyone wants to add anything please do and if Iโ€™ve said something wrong please do correct me ๐Ÿ˜Š

Allah condemns homosexuality explicitly in the Qurโ€™an: โ€œDo you approach the males of humanity, leaving the wives Allah has created for you? Nay, You are a people who transgress.โ€ (26:165-166)

Reality is that this life is a test. We are reminded time and time again And as time progresses, the temptations and fitna are increasing. If you were to look at the world 100 years ago and compare it with how it is today, you would see a significant difference.

For one, society has become more sexualised, public nudity and acts that were once considered immoral have now become the โ€œnormโ€. And as Muslims, who follow teachings that are in essence timeless, it becomes hard, extremely hard, to find a balance.

โ€œA person is not to be blamed for his nature. Rather, he is to be blamed if he acts according to his nature.โ€
Al-Junayd in โ€˜Hilyat al-Awliya

No one is born to be homosexual, the first people who committed this crime were Lotโ€™s people:

We also (sent) Lut: he said to his people: โ€œDo ye commit lewdness such as no people in creation (ever) committed before you?

"For ye practise your lusts on men in preference to women: ye are indeed a people transgressing beyond bounds."

And his people gave no answer but this: they said โ€œDrive them out of your city: these are indeed men who want to be clean and pure!โ€

But We saved him and his family except his wife: she was of those who lagged behind.

And We rained down on them a shower (of brimstone): then see what was the end of those who indulged in sin and crime!

(Al-Araf, ayat 80-84)

If homosexuality is a natural thing, Allah wouldnโ€™t punish them such punishment:

But the (mighty) Blast overtook them before morning,

And We turned (the Cities) upside down, and rained down on them brimstones hard as baked clay.

Behold! in this are Signs for those who by tokens do understand.
